Why should you submit?

This anthology serves as a bridge to address the emotional side of immigration, which is often overlooked. When immigrant families move to a new country, the focus typically falls on navigating the practical and legal aspects—such as securing employment, handling financial responsibilities, and completing immigration paperwork. While these are undoubtedly critical, they can overwhelm adults, leaving little room to consider the emotional and psychological needs of the younger members of the family.

For youth, the experience of immigration often includes culture shock, difficulty adjusting to a new environment/ a new school, and feelings of isolation. This anthology aims to fill that gap by highlighting stories of young immigrants who has experienced similar feelings before, we hope to create a sense of comfort for new youth immigrants that their feelings and experiences are shared by many others.

So whether your family migrated to the U.S. years ago, this is your first time in a new country, or you’re here temporarily for studies, your story matters. By sharing it, you can inspire young immigrants, reminding them they are not alone and that their challenges, triumphs, and journeys are valued.
